here is another snippet from our photo wall: On the photo is my father and my grandmother!! i love having a photo of my father at such a young age and i love the expression in his face. My father later grew up to write a book about his mother.

bag

every now and again i become obsessed with the idea of finding THE bag to end all bags. I search high and low to find the perfect combination of unique, timeless, roomy and quality and the search always ends the same: with me realising that a bag like that costs like a billion and that maybe i can make some thing myself. Im actually quite please with the result this time: i made the flowery one and found a cheap leather bag on sale

bread de ungt blod

Im very bad at following recipes but i did take some cues from our swedish baking friend when baking this bread: I added a grated apple and i used his folding technique. It turned out quite good - and really really good when eaten with tomatoes + mayo + salt + pepper

Festival of Endless Gratitude

If you are lucky enough to be in Copenhagen this week be sure to stop by Festival of Endless Gratitude! The five-day festival starts today at kph volume (Enghavevej 80-82) exhibiting a wide range of artists at the box cutter gallery and music all night long + any thinkable mix of the two. Personally im looking forward to the Samba Tattoo Tombola! Get much more information here! (some of you might recognise the fantastic artwork of Mathias Malling Mortensen who is one of the talented people behind festival)

Kaffebar

My new favourite coffee place is only five minutes away. That might be some of its charm, but they also serve good coffee, cool prices, oatmeal and tiramisu and nice small talk at Kaffebaren (Æblestien 2). We stopped by sunday on our way home from brunch when the weather was beautiful

▶ Fenke: we talked about how brunch is perfect for sunday, because you can hang out all afternoon and still go home and have a quiet evening and prepare for the week/getting up early!

the brunch club

Sunday we had the most delicious brunch over at our friends' place. (i was very impressed with the pineapple presentation) For the first time in my life i liked the scrambled eggs! The trick was goat cheese! We used to have a Twin Peaks club and im thinking our next club should be a Sunday Brunch Club!

▶ Emma: I had a surdeg but it went bad after three weeks. Wondering if its really worth it starting a new one -it feels like such a pressure!
▶ Bantik: I really know what you mean. There are some bloggers who are like friends, because you check in with them everyday -which is often more than you see many of your real life friends! One of the best things about blogging is the community, i think, so you should always share your blog with the people you like online!

We were lucky enough to be a part of a very lovely bunch of happiness this weekend.

▶ Everyone: Thank you so much for all your great thoughts about blogging and the real world! I find it very strange to say the words "i write a blog" when people ask what i do - but it would also be strange to keep it a secret, because i spend so much time doing it... I especially hate explaining what the blog is about! it always sounds so self-centred! I think i will use Marias description: A visual diary!

long days

Days are getting shorter - lightwise, but not when it comes to things i need to get done. Days feel long with lots of things that needs to get done. Question: Do you introduce new people you meet to your blog? or do you keep it more of an internet-secret? im torn.

▶ Kadhysign: my pizza stone broke in three -i still use it, but i would like a new one. Im getting my masters in digital design and communication
▶ Emma: oh no - allergic to bread? that sounds horrible! Sandra og Johan fortalte at alle unge svenske mænd er besat af brød og pain de martin :)
▶ Lisen: i like that - a philosophic nose!
▶ WEEKDAYCARNIVAL: bread is a very though thing to master! it takes a lot of practice
▶ Schorlemädchen: im sort of addicted to pizza... its not all good
▶ Anna: Mr Frosty is from the danish brand Lucky boy sunday - they do amazing stuff!

no heat

Last friday our oven broke! The glass inside the door broke into a million pieces. Almost a week without pizza! Luckily we should get the new stove tomorrow and im planning a bread -maybe something fancy inspired by this guy. Yesterday i started school! The first course seems very inspiring and im hoping it will feel like an energy boost (- and not the opposite..) I like the prospect of meeting all these new people, but still i sat in the back row and felt a bit like hiding.
