I tried making a healthier version of cocoa balls i usually make substituting butter with dates. I don't think they are nearly as delicious... and i think the dates are far more delicious in the oven wrapped with bacon

about these little fellows: i use to do that to. but i use honey instead of white sugar. must try dates. even if...well, your review. :) (because we got a box of dates in the fridge. they never end!)

in true american style, i must say i don't think there can be a substitute for butter...or bacon...
and, i don't know if i've ever eaten a date. how horrible is that? i don't even know if i've ever seen one!

mmmm oven-baked dates wrapped in bacon are probably one of the best things ever! my mom makes them by replacing the stone of the date with Boursin (I don't know if you have it in Denmark, it's some sort of herb cheese, very tasty!) befor wrapping it in bacon & baking it. SO so so good! :)
