I read books and I play with the cats. There's really nothing I should be doing, but I feel bad whenever a few day passes without any reading.

I love reading blogs as my way of escaping from the boring Finance industry. I'm married to a Dane so love reading Danish blogs as I like to get ideas on what to do when we go to Denmark next.

hi mette! I'm an architect by day, which is only sometimes a creative job, there's also lots of organizing and no-so-nice office work... in my free time I do stuff around our new apartment (three months and we're nowhere near getting rid of all the boxes), I just started sewing more stuff for myself again, and I try to not spend too much time in front of the computer since that's where I spend 90% of my work day. at the weekends we've been doing bike trips to get to know our new city and surroundings, and to see some trees, fields and cows (I tend to forget they exist if I don't leave the city once in a while).
Your master sounds really interesting, I don't think I knew what exactly you were studying.

I have followed your beautiful and inspiring blog every now and then for a few years now.
I'm a happy mom of a 3 years old daughter. I worked as a graphic designer for about 5 years, then studied architecture for my bachelors degree and now I'm styding my master, and here comes the odd part - I'm actually studying the same thing as you, on the same school! I have never noticed you at school though, maybe I have my head in the sky too often :)
Good luck with your exam - maybe I'll actually see you at school next semester!

hello mette! it's nice to know what you are studying.
i'm studying architecture in barcelona. i decided that quite late, after starting art/design at another school and thinking i needed something more. i didn't expect that it would take me so many full-time years...in the mornings i work at my faculty's international office. i miss having more free time to do other things i love and i'm looking forward to finishing school next year. no idea what i will do afterwards though, but i kind of like that.

i work for a small stationery studio, helping things run! i am relatively recently out of school and studied international affairs so this is a fun departure from the more serious political work i studied for.

i know i need to go back to get my masters- but i am torn between public health and design. there must be something in the middle...

i work as an illustrator and graphic/textile designer and with my own art a little bit too, everything as a freelancer. i hope i'll graduate next spring as a master of arts (i study in graphic design department). i have to decide what my thesis will be about and i'm in a bit of a hurry with that. i hope i know how to work and go towards my dreams, even if i don't always know exactly what they are.

Since having a baby 7 months ago, the majority of my time is devoted to caring for her. But I've also owned a small letterpress company for the last few years. I illustrate the designs for one of three lines that we carry, but it seems like I have to spend much more time dealing with paper work, etc... all the minutae that goes into running a business. Not that I'm complaining, though, because overall, I love what I do.

Oh hi, this is very interesting to read :) I work in a small digital agency which was founded by some friends of mine. We are a really small team and don't have any interns, so all of us have to do "everything". It is a nice mix of webdesign, "real" design, flash, some more technical stuff, organising etc. I love taking photos, exploring cities & nature, and I love to go camping with our vw bus. And I am planning to get more creative in my free time again!
