goodbye wafflemaker

I found this fantastic site through the cool, danish blog bumbumbum. Megan is moving from Detroit to Alabama and don't want to bring all her stuff. so she is selling it! all of it! at the goodbyewafflemaker.com you can browse through all of her belongings and feel very inspired by all the little things that make up our lives. (+ i love the name of the site!)

Emma: I like that: Killer Awsome! -then go get them!
Cecilie: så er det ikke mig der er skør!
Julia, Mieke + Willems, Epe, Roberta Jane, Pigeon Toed: And they were cheap too! i only think you can get them in Sweden or Denmark, but you should stop by Weekday! its a great store.
Lisen: I have been eating at least one orange every day for the past two months or so. I can't wait to get the good local strawberries, so i buy the only sort of good imported ones. mmmm... summer strawberries with cream. thats the best!

Very interesting indeed - I had an artist friend who did something similar - seems to be the kind of self-(something) that artists like to engage in! I moved last year, and I must admit it was much too much. BB

Ooh, I like those shoes in the last photo...! And yeah, girl names are a bit easy because there are so many beautiful ones. But boy names are hard...hm, I could only come up with a handful I like. I think Arlo is neat (like the American folksinger Arlo Guthrie, and apparently it's a kind of tree in Spanish). I also think Julian and Milo are cool. Julian works in a lot of languages but isn't boring, and that's nice. I also like the Icelandic name Örvar (means 'arrow') but it's intense! Baby names are fun. :)

Oh-- one more thing your comment reminded me of! I actually have a friend whose parents couldn't think of what to call her, and they waited and waited and finally the hospital said she couldn't go home until they came up with something, and they still couldn't, so she ended up with...BABY GIRL as the first name on her birth certificate. True story! She's one of my best friends. Later, they picked something and the certificate was amended to say "Lillian". (But the amendment goes at the bottom! It still says Baby Girl at the top...)
