merry christmas malmö

my time studying in malmö is almost over and i will only be going across øresund a few times in january. I will miss it but at the same time i will be good to focus more on copenhagen and being split between two cities like that. this was a little walk i took while waiting for my train back home.

Hanna: You are welcome!
Katrine: I love that picture too. it was such a hot summer day and we were just happy and a little hungover (some more than others) -and yes, he did accept the fries and burger offer! Hjørnegrillen i silkeborg er stedet!
Mieke&Willems: Thank you! the photos from your store look so lovely! i want to go there :)
Steph: That is the sweetest comment ever! you are so sweet! And yes im so proud that my sister's album has gotten such great reviews!
Roberta: Thanks -Rufus is the best! italians are really cute too! so small!

Thursday

2x5 things i love every day

i was tagged twice this week for "5 things i love every day" -by the lovely ladies at 1911 and Smosch! so i thought i would do 10 things! i have looked through the archives and found a whole bunch of photos to illustrate these things that i love:
my coffee: double espresso + foamed milk hanging out with rufus! being married! reading inspiring blogs delicious food my camera! our home having to walk the dog everyday -even if i sometimes complaint my bed creating and crafting. now for the tagging: Ninja Hanna, Laura, Katrine, Sarah and Hanna

emma: your hat looks so good!
laura: i was told to wait untill i doesn't hurt any more -and then wait another month! unfortunately i can feel it is not time yet.
anne: yes, carpal tunnel really makes you realize how much you need your hands!
Ninja Hanna: i LOVE LOVE LOVE it! perfect skeleton dance!
Júlía: you have never been there? we were there all the time! good stuff!
Alice: i know, i know -but its not just the pain you can feel from your own elbows -its just as much the pain other peoples elbows can cause you!
Sandra: Here you go!

Wednesday

three boxes and some knitting

okay, so im not supposed to knit, but i think its okay if i only knit like five needles at time and only two times a day. who knew it would be so hard keeping off knitting? The three boxes all stand on my desk. The red money box is a gift from D -he has one in blue from his childhood, and i decorated mine with letters. The little round plastic box i bought in Frida frænka in Reykjavik and it keeps jewellery. And the little wooden box was made my me when i was like.. 10 or 11 and i stuck some plastic rabbits on the top and have had it with me ever since. it often contains coins.

Sopchan: So you do know the elbow-pain! good :)
Katrine: So disappointing! i kept staring envious at D all day!
Lea: Yeah, and i know i was awake like 6.10 and the earthquake was 6.20! so disappointing!
Hanna: Yes its such a mean syndrome! (much like the meanness of the elbow) I have a really hard time accepting the limits!
Marieke: Hi! so good to hear from you!
Maria: im most scared for our old old building! hope it does not crack! -and yeah i mostly just make up patterns -such as the skulls you can kinda see in the one picture. I also have these great needlepoint booklets from the sixties with animals of the forest and sights in copenhagen! i will show them!
Anne: Ha, ha! its so funny how you try to rationalise wired sounds and even the earth moving! -it was so funny to hear D realizing that it was not in fact our refrigerator!

Tuesday

earthquake

there was an earthquake in denmark and sweden this morning! that n.e.v.e.r happens! last time was in 1985 and there has not been one of this size since 1934. and i slept through it. okay so it was only about 5 sec and hardly anything worth noticing if you have experienced a real earthquake, but im quite disappointed that i just slept through it! D woke up! ...he thought it was our old refrigerator giving up! (i love how this illustration shows some weird shake of the countries! uhhh.. earthquake!)
I still can't knit because of my carpal tunnel syndrome so i do some embroidery instead. its nice too. i have alot of unfinished projects.

Bettina: Godt at du er med mig! jeg forstår ikke det manglende fokus på dette område!
Em: I don't deny that i would miss my elbow, but that pain is SO bad! and when we sleep D always gives me an elbow in the head!
Nazara: YES i would read your blog daily if you updated!! do it!
Sopchan: Okay okay. its good that some people sticks up for the elbow, but i just think we don't pay enough attention to how evil it can be! a hard elbow-poke is painful!
Fanny: exactly! well i maybe would not say funny! i would say PAINFUL :) monday is good but friday will be better!
Lea: I think we are supposed to arrange the christmasparty now that marianne is gone! and Lasse moved aswell right?

Monday

elbow

lately i have been thinking a lot about how the elbow is the most evil and meanest part of the body! okay, okay, so it is good the you can bend your arm, but other than that! the elbow is not useful for anything good and all you get from it is evil pokes and pain!

Laura: Yeah she does really nice work!
Stefanie: They were! very christmassy!
Niller: lucky, lucky, lucky! have you met any of the new people in the house?
Lea: But thats just because the soya is SO BIG! i love big bottles like that! have you seen the big olive oil in Rema1000? I like the idea of giving back some of what you have borrowed through the year!
Fanny: I wish we could dog-sit for somebody! it would be so funny to see rufus with another dog at home!
Sopchan: Yep, that is the king allright!
Myszy: :) we have been thinking about giving the guy above us soft slippers and headphones!!
Gracia: I have never had sweet neighbours like this before either. it feels good!
Maria: Yeah i love having nice neighbours! it feel so good to have good people just across the hall!
Mado: Yes they are! you should check out more of Leas stuff! cute animals too!

Sunday

does your neighbour know you?

this little christmas surprise almost got me in the christmas mood! a knock on the door -nobody there, but this cool gift! its from your fantastic neighbours who knew we were running low on soya -because they borrowed some! they also included cookies and a beautiful card made by Lea herself! -we in turn left them some christmas beer, clementines and some garlic -because we borrowed some of theirs! it sounds like the start of a good tradition!
Fanny: Yeah i think so, but i think skeleton are good all year around!
Júlía: I think they are! Click the link in the post to see many more good ones!
Lea: Even more thank you!! so sweet!
