Bergamo!!!

We looked at sweets, cakes and beautiful old churches in the old city.

▶ Aimee + Louise: I don't remember what it is called, but its some sort of pasta with ham and a cheese sauce and fresh parmasan! Delicious!
Siri: ha ha you are right
▶ Vesle Serena: Oh that might be why! it was e v e r y w h e r e
Girlheartfood: good luck!
▶ milk tooth's rain: ha ha -well it was a little bit away from the cafe, just around the corner from the worlds best pizzaria and you had to go through gates to get in :) -it was called Alex and Angie i think!
Anki: :)
▶ Whitney: I know, my trinity

Thursday

Bergamo!!

We had lunch and coffee close to our hostel before walking past confetti and and candy-wrapped houses and travelling by the funicolare to the old city. On our walks around the city we constantly found colourfull confetti everywhere -it might have had something to do with the 150th anniversary of the united Italy.

▶ Olalla: No, but thank you so much for doing so!!
▶ Dessa: They do have a special bond, those two!
▶ Malene: Bare rolig -du skal nok få en masse -inkl indkøb!
▶ Melly: I know, i really like it too for some weird reason!
▶ Hanacakes: a good thing!
▶ Celine: She is so small and sweet! i love looking back at 'old' pictures of her!
Siri: Almost :)
▶ Katrine: Meget meget billigt - men kun fra Billund med Ryan air!
▶ Lisen: I love to see him in a shirt because it does not happen that often :)

Wednesday

Bergamo!

I went to Bergamo in Italy with my sister. She had been to the town before and it is really perfect for a weekend trip since plane tickets are cheap and the town is not too big but has lots of things to offer. We stayed at a hostel with a roof top terrace with a beautiful view of the old city on the mountain side (it was not the house in the last picture -just photographed it for the beautiful colours).

Sofie: ha ha -oh no! its been so windy this winter!
▶ Gracia: Jep!
Lise: Tak!
▶ Millo: præcis -og så så simpelt!
Gemma: I HAVE to get the fridge magnets so you can play around while hanging out in the kitchen
▶ Bantik: Thank you -and me too :(

home

Im back from my weekend trip to Italy. It was a REALLy really good trip but i do not like the travel part. Never will. And im always SO happy to be home again. This time even more so. We left just as the earthquake hit Japan and I tried to stay updated through twitter whenever i could get online. So heart wrenching to see your (cyber)friends going through this chaotic and terrifying time -like this friend, this one and this one -and so scary to know, that so many people are hit even worse by this tragedy. So before i get started showing you all of my pictures of lovely Bergamo, i just had to write this down and post a little (old) picture of the ones im so happy to get home to.

N S E W

Im really into entities these days -floating objects- and I love the N S E W project -such a nice, light and creative site and I really want the magnets from the shop for my fridge! Reminds me of this piece by Maria Mantella

Go play around!

▶ Máni: it really is!
Stockholmstips: Thank you for the tips!
▶ Magdaloony: I all of a sudden remember how i sometimes get annoyed with the sun in the summer when its right through in your eyes and you are trying to work.
Linda: Det er ret luksus at kunne tage på strand udflugt så nemt
▶ Mari: Der er et par stykker..
our strange nature: Oh cool thank you for the tips!
▶ amy w - over and under: This still puzzles me that things can be so upside down :)
LouLou: ..prøver at glemme at det har regnet i dag..
▶ siri: I love the beach in the winter -or actually just when its not summer!
Anonymous: You are so sweet to give me tips!
▶ Elitsa: Elinor LOVES watching Rufus run! she laughs so much!
Veja cecilia: I love the light mornings and afternoons! so reassuring
▶ sofie: Oh how cool that you went to the beach! We live pretty close by and yeah, its still c o l d
Anki: It really is great to be able to walk to the beach -even if i don't really like it in the summer

Monday

sunshine is my sunshine

We went to the beach and enjoyed the sunshine yesterday. The lovely thing about Denmark is how glad you get when the sun returns! (im trying to put a positive spin on this...)

▶ Lisen: I love that they are so different than all the rest of our photos
Provins: Jep!
▶ Ester: I don't either
Snygg: Tak for hjælpen!!
▶ J: Oh cool, thanks for the tip!
Trine: :)
▶ Mr. Kristiansson: Thanks for the hipster tips! Johan! skal du snart spise pizza hjemme hos mig?

Sunday

film

D found his camera from a time when most people had shifted to digital. These are some of the photos from the last film roll

BTW! i got so many great tips on Milan and Bergamo from all of you, that i have another travel challenge: Where to STAY when in Stockholm! We are looking for a cheap and perfectly located hostel to stay at in Stockholm this summer! -feel free to all so add some tips for what to do in the city!

▶ Everyone: Thank you everyone for the sweet comments!
Vesle Serena: Oh we just love that she can be in day care! she gets to play with other kids and we get some much need time to study, work, go to school, clean, all that stuff!
▶ B: :) Hun har også fået et rigtig fint fastelavsris fra vuggestuen -eller rettere: hun har lavet!
girlheartfood: I made a template in hard cardboard -just drew a triangle that i liked the look and size of- and i would cut a pane of fabric in the right hight and fold it and put the template to the fabric and just cut -but then, im not really that thorough or careful when i sew and my quilts are not that precise. Then i order all the triangles in a stack and sew them together in one loooong pane and finally cut it up in the right width of the quilt

Friday

Tigers go to day care

Today this little tiger is celebrating 'fastelavn' -carnival, shrovetide -kids dressing up!- at her day care. She has been going there for a little over a month and we are all very happy! such sweet people there!
