H O N E Y
okay, so after taking so many pictures on the first half of the honeymoon i layed off it for the rest, so here is a sort sum-up! the last days involved a day in Malmö, going to the moivies, visiting Glyptoteket, talking long walks and eating delicious brunches! mm.
> Lynn & Horst: Oh, you should have been there!
> Emma: The shirt is authentic icelandic from when we lived there -and really really hot!
> Maria: Both the animals and the food was delicious! i want more!! i can't figure out what the cabbage thing is! i tried looking at their website, but nothing!
> Lisen: ...a fat stina.... HA! Well actually he did find the tiger, but he was sleeping! under a rock! in the rain! -a bit boring :)
> Brita: Im jealous too! i want one more!

the third day of the honeymoon we visited the animals in the zoo -in the rain- and eat delicious food at Wakamama. i haven't been to a zoo in many years and im so wondering why! i loved it! its amazing to be so close to crazy animals like the polar bears, elephants and maybe most impressive of all: the hippopotamus! wow! we were standing forever just staring at the window to the pool only seeing a few fish and then, all of a sudden three giant hippos and one small hippo-baby came running under water pass the glass! they were so amazing -coming up for air and making the wildest, loudest sound in the world. wow -and really hard to photograph. when i finally got the right camera setting they disappeared again..
> emma: yeah the shoes and the oreos goes pretty good together and a ride in the sun would be so fantastic! im just afraid the there is no more fall-sun!
> Louise: :) we only had the one beer left so it was a little.. sad.. but nice with a simple picnic
> Cindy: exactly: i was thinking i would make a cool bathroom with tiles like that sometime, but really i should be thinking of making a whole room! it was so fantastic, i still dream of it!
> Kim: Yeah it is such a fantastic idea of a hotel -and a honeymoon since you actually want to spend time in the hotelroom..
> Lisen: Blue shoooes 4 ever!
> Lea: Yeah it would be a beautiful idea maybe for our ugly hallway??
> Mieke Willems: glad you think we are over the top :)
> Sandra: it was a really good experience -both having our honeymoon here and staying at the hotel!
> Carolina: hurry, hurry!
Wednesday
C P H
We started the second day with a fantastic breakfast at Fox (sorry no pictures) and spent then walked around enjoying the city -visiting the ruins under Christiansborg - sitting in the garden at the Royal library - eating Oreos and drinking beer at the channels at christianshavn ... lovely! (Do you see how D is trying to look like my grandfather posing in these photos?)
> Emma: Yeah i heard about the hotel along time ago and always thought it would be such a nice thing to do! and it was!!
> Judith: Oh how funny! did you stay in the same room or is there a bell in every room?? We did find the bell and rang i very loudly :)
> Lisen: Oh thank you -we did think how cool it would be to make a room with pattern on both the floors and walls -and ceilings some time! it would make a great bathroom -or maybe guestroom -or playroom.
> Kimberly: I will tell you that burger was So delicious and so huge! we thought i was funny that it was me who ordered the extralarge lone star and i felt a responsibility to finish it all! i was so full afterwards!
> .girl ferment.: The hotel is so cool, but there are also rooms that are quite boring so you have to get the right room -you want a really overwhelming one when staying at such a place!
> K: Yeah we (mostly me..) thought it was a fun way to start the trip by looking at check in screens and other travelers + the starbucks at the airport is the only one in DK so it was exotic (I tried to forget that i actually go through the airport everytime i go to school in Malmö) How cool that you designed a hotel! when we lived in Reykjavik i worked for some hotels and i got so many ideas for my dream hotel -it would definitely include lots of pattern!
Tuesday
F O X
We started our little honeymoon by taking the train to the airport, buying coffee at starbucks (:)) and taking the train back into the city where we had reservations for one night at Hotel Fox -a pretty incredible place where the rooms are all designed by different artists! We had gotten a good deal on a medium size room but got upgraded to a x-large which was fantastic cause it gave us the chance to stay in the cool room 302: Harmonies Helm. the pattern covering all the floor and all walls were so overwhelmingly good! for dinner we went to Halifax for the best burgers in town and im proud to say i finished the biggest burger on their menu :) -between the hotel and burgers there was a visit at Statens Museum for Kunst and lovely walks by the lakes!
> Gracia: :) thank you -im almost finished sorting -now im on to uploading to flickr.. phew it takes for ever!
> Maikki: Yeah the zoo was really a crazy place. all the animals where so cool, but it was raining and its hard to photograph through the glass so it could be a bit frustrating. Especially the incredible hippopotamus were really hard to capture!
> Famapa: YOU ARE THE BEST! thank you for such a sweet comment!
> Lisen: Its great to be back! -we tried to buy exotic snacks that we would not normally get -such as Oreos! -because when you travel you always buy weird local things that you don't know what tastes like
> Mieke Willems: It really was! it fitted us so perfectly to stay in our own town! and thay way Rufus could join us too!
> Joanne: That is such a good point! it really is about taking time out with no distractions -just spending all your time together!!
> Maria: Im really liking the photocroping too and thinking its a good way of posting lots of pictures! you will get some full-size ones from the honeymoon too though
> Júlía: Exactly! we made such a long list of things we never normally do in copenhagen! we will have to do another honeymoon to take care of the rest of the list!
Monday
wow
im back! after some crazy days of honeymooning in copenhagen (+ one day in malmö)! money is tight so we decided to do a mini-honeymoon in our own town where we would not have to "waste" time and money on board and transportation. Instead we did all the nice honeymoon things right where we are! i'll show some more when i sort out my 600+ photos (when you take at least 30 shots of every animal at the zoo the number runs up...) :)
>Lisen: thanks! Actually i just went to the interview today, so im very exited to hear back!
> Famapa: I know i know -i will stop getting wonderful things soon! i wanna go to the dog-races some day and see Rufus' extend family run run run -maybe Rufus could even join in!
> Marieke: you are very wellcome!
> Emma, .girlferment., Joanne: Hooray for weekends and mini vacations!
