Thursday

thank you...

THANK YOU

okay, i will leave you with one more romantic wedding picture, before i leave the land of internet connections for a few days. there will probably be more wedding pictures later so don't start crying yet. now crying -thats something you do on your wedding day! lots of waterproof mascara was necessary. my sister had written a song for us that she sang in the church... wow. gulp. - the reason why i will be leaving for a few days is actually that im going to attend my cousins wedding! its gonna be cool being a wedding guest this time. my cousin danced and danced at our wedding so we are gonna dance and dance at theirs! I will see you sunday, when the weather forecast says this crazy summer heat will be gone and rain will fall..

> Joanne: Thank you! I love that you feel like a guest by looking at the pictures -thats a good party-sign!
> Karin: Thank you! we made all the food with the help of all our friends and family. the night before the wedding i sat down with two of my best friends and decorated cup-cakes and prepared sushi -and talked talked talked! it was the best way to spend the night before!
> Danica: the cupcakes were so amazing -something like 10 different kinds and lots of different toppings. im still eating left overs.
> Svanna: Tak tak tak! her er så næsten et billede for fra... men ikke helt! maybe later there will be one straight on.. OG velkommen hjem fra hvad der lyder som en helt vanvittig ferie!
> Famapa: Tak! Ha ha, i also thought before the wedding: "wonder if anybody will take a dip" -but i actually thought: "nah.. they don't wanna get out of their fancy clothes and mess up their hair".. BUT thank God they did! it was so much fun!
> Lisen: Tak! Vi huskede at det var JA man skulle sige :) They weather was soo hot and so perfect -yes: it all really was picture-perfect!
> Lottie: Thank you for the well-wishes and i love that the wonderfullness of the day shows in the pictures!
> Mal: Thank you! and yes -pink is awesome! i miss reykjavik! did you know i have lived there for a year?

> K: Thank you. I loved loved loved the bouquet too! i did not see it untill half an hour before the wedding -a friend of the family had made it all from flowers from her garden. All i had told her was: Green :)

> Maria, Lea, When skies are grey, Design for mankind, Marieke, ALL OF YOU: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Wednesday

burn burn burn

..fire was roaring...

champagne party

...as i said: champagne was flowing.... (i'll reply all of you soon! i only got internet access a few minutes a day)

the best guests

..and did i mention that the guests were per-fect? (and that champagne was flowing..:)

the best food

...and the food was per-fect! we made it all ourselves and we had burgers and cupcakes and sushi... so many cupcakes... still eating...

Tuesday

the best day

the weather was per-fect! sun sun sun all day long. literally not a cloud in the sky. and guests were per-fect! they got the idea! the took of their clothes and jumped in the lake. they played football and kroket. they danced and had fun. and so did we. it was the best day

Monday

the best day

okay okay, here is a picture! i did not mean to tease you! there is just so much to do and so many wonderful pictures to choose from -i will probably be posting wedding photos for weeks :) Tomorrow you will get pictures from the wonderful party. it was literally the best day of my life. nothing can describe it better -but another hint is that guests have named it "the champagne wedding".. now: i gotta get back to my husband!

Sunday

wow

wow. thats all i can say right now. wow

Friday

waiting

only one more day to go. crazy. see you afterwards.

Wednesday

pink

they painted the square across the street pink. it look quite good and makes for good pictures. Rufus found it funny too -he normally HATES rainpuddles and won't go near them, but on all the pink he can't see them and wanders in to them unknowingly... we will try to make him swim next week.. i'll let you know.

>everybody: thank you for all the well-wishes! the weather forecast says sun sun sun so it could not be more perfect.
>Famapa: Yeah, you have to remember that its just the beginning. I can't wait to see what it is like being the bride. its a feeling you can't imagine.
>July stars: thank you. Whippets are really good in apartments (a greyhound would probably be too big) because they are really quiet inside and sleep alot -as long as you can take them for a run now and again.
>K: Yes i live on amager and have for three years now. im currently working on a blog about amager (in danish, www.amageramsee.dk). where did you live? and why :) ?

Tuesday

wedding stuff

here is a peek at some wedding stuff! we will go into the final wedding planing mode today so i can't guarantee steady posting until sometime after this saturday! i will check in though so its not complete vacation time.

>Pom: you are right -im going triangle-crazy.
>Annie: i know the feeling -some times you just stick to what you know so you are surprised when you finally wander of to new places :)

Monday

lula

im in love with all the things you can find at lula.se -i love these wallpapers and the photography of elisabeth dunker

a little green and a little purple

beautiful colours just outside your door. im packing today. and cleaning. and picking up things. and planning.

>nilleren: oh so niels and nilleren is the same :) i thought that might be the case
>lea: nabo-kaffe snarest -og nabo middag når vi kommer tilbage??
>design for mankind: no, you are awesome! and your comments always are too! thanks!

Sunday

just another cool ride

here is another cool ride that i would like to own! i don't know about the rest of the world but in copenhagen these bikes are everywhere. they are mostly used by families to transport the kids around town -cheap and easy (if you don't count who heavy they are to ride). i would like one just for the prospect of all the cool things i could bike around with. the animal masks on the kids are too cool for school and really reminds me of miguel calderón . i think im adding this new feature: i reply = a new way of commenting back on your comments. we will see how it goes

> Niller: så fedt at det eneste der skulle til var en lille titel! glad for at du igen kan følge med
> Niels: argh, now im curious! i can't find the movie online. ..and to me -anything that isn't online, does not exist :)
> Lea: din blog er så fin. fedt at den virker og velkommen hjem
> Lisen: i forgot to look for it today! wonder if its still there..

dream car

i found my dream car! seriously! when i get a car im gonna take it to a man and tell him: paint my car like this. but who made this one? and where did it come from? well i found it at pop pervert who found it through ffffound (i don't know why i did not find it through ffffound) but they don't link to it so i can't find the link to the original..

Saturday

helgoland

i am finally giving in to the fact that the wedding is only one week away and that this means i don't have the energy to think about much of anything else... couldn't even find any wise words to go along with this picture of Helgoland -a place at the beach where winter-swimmers go to take their chilly dips. its being rebuild and painted in the characteristic turquoise colour that only the swim club has the colour code for.

Friday

sommerhus

D spotted this little house when we were out walking the other day. i love these finds that seems like a sign of a parallel 2 dimensional mini-world. I also love the colouring -sticking to a familiar shape but going crazy with the colours. i wonder if i was that kind of a kid or the kind that stuck to realism..

UPDATE: I actually took this picture almost a week ago and i just saw that the house is still there...

Thursday

summer food

more food. thank god im not on a diet. this is a real summertime dinner. The dress is all finished now and think i got a hold on most details. its a great feeling.

this is sand + rafael rozendaal

rainy days = time spend online. I have mentioned Rafael Rozendaal before and he has many great places to wast time online -fx. papertoilet.com. This is sand is more interactive and calls for all your creativity. this is my third try. Get sanding! thisissand.com newrafael.com

Wednesday

amager strand

more pictures from the beach last weekend.
i forgot my camera when we just visited a new cafe, Madmanifesten, that opened yesterday just on the corner of our street, so no documentation. We had a lovely dinner and i was happy to find that they have chosen to use my favourite coffee from Coffee Collective. well, not just happy, cus it is dangerous to have such good coffee 2 min. away....

øens perle

we had lunch at our favourite local cafe. their specialities are toasts (as we call it here) or more correct grilled cheese sandwiches. Mine in the picture is with goat cheese, tomatoes and pesto in whole grain bread and with a really good salad. We don't go there as often as we would like because its a bit too expensive for us, but every single time we have been there the same old man is there. He has a standing order of coffee and what we call a rum ball -heated for exactly 20 sec. Then he sits outside if the weather is for it and talks to every body walking by. Several people even sat down and talked with him for a while before moving on. Except for his yellow beard, revealing that he might be a bit of a boozer, that is how i would like to be when im that old.
